I am a Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at McGill University specializing in sports medicine. Over the course of my career I have worked with elite athletes and published extensively on injury prevention, biomechanics, and AI.
As Founder and CEO of Semperform Innnovation Inc., I lead the development of Hurtblocker™, a patented, clinically validated AI app that predicts ACL injuries before they occur. Our mission is to transform how athletes, parents, coaches, health professionals, schools and teams approach injury prevention - making advanced sports medicine available to everyone.
I am an experienced AI scientist, researcher, and tech entrepreneur, with expertise spanning the entire software stack and a deep focus on AI, computer vision, and cloud automation. With multiple peer-reviewed publications in highly respected journals and conferences, my work has contributed to making biomechanics assessment and injury prevention more accessible.
My PhD research led to the development of Hurtblocker™, a smartphone application that leverages pose estimation and deep learning to screen for risk of ACL injury. As CTO at Semperform Innovation Inc., I oversee all tech related aspects from concept to deployment.
